Here is my contribution to the Weekly Photo Challenge: Silhouettes.
This weeks challenge had me look at roller coasters with a fresh perspective. I love the way the metal frames of the coasters look like a giant futuristic transportation network. This compares dramatically to the wooden framed roller coaster, which is reminiscent of an old railway bridge.

As I’ve gotten older, I find I prefer the view of roller coasters from afar rather than from directly on one.
The photos are great!
As you know, I generally feel the way you do, except for this last trip. I saw it as a retirement party of sorts. I’m done with rides now and will just enjoy them with my camera.

Thank you. I’ll be right over to view your photos.
Great shots Janet. I must admit…I am not a fan of riding rollercoasters…or thinking about riding rollercoasters, but I do enjoy photos of them!
We just announced our new theme for this week today, please feel free to join in too – the theme is escape: http://www.letsbewild.com/photo-challenge/wild-weekly-photo-challenge-3-escape/
