WHAT I WRITE ABOUT:

WOMEN’S FICTION

As a reader, I love stories that explore psychological and emotional journeys. Give me a far from perfect character, doing their best to build a life. I want to experience the world through their eyes.

So that is what I write about. My characters are imperfect and often frustrating. They often struggle with mental health and anxiety. All of them struggle with self-acceptance and self-esteem.

And they get a happy ending. More or less. There are no fairy tale happily ever afters, but I like to believe my characters ended up in a better place than where they started from, and as our journey with them ends, their story is just beginning.

ROMANCE

Writing romance is where I have a little fun, so I decided to embark on a romance series as a way of escaping a world where bad news threatens to overwhelm. My Kringle Cousin series is a place where kindness prevails, love is pure, and goodness always triumphs. Each story is imbued with a sprinkle of magic, reawakening a sense of wonder and hope akin to the wide-eyed innocence of childhood.

This series is more than just a collection of books; it’s a gateway to a realm where every reader (and the writer) is reminded of the power of love and the magic it holds.

When I’m not writing, I’m often off exploring. Sometimes that means hiking mountain trails with my husky, Kodi, sometimes it’s road-tripping across Western Canada and the U.S., soaking in small towns, wide-open landscapes, and the people who bring them to life. No matter where I go, I’m always gathering little sparks of inspiration — a place, a moment, or a conversation that just might become the seed of my next story.
